Columbia, MD, December 21, 2015 (Newswire.com) - RTH Solutions successfully raised $2,880 for the 2015 Walk with the Stars Walk-a-thon to benefit Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, Inc. (SCDAA). The SCDAA awarded the Shining Star trophy to recognize the RTH Solutions fundraising efforts.
The SCDAA holds personal significance to Hope Station, Chief Technology Officer, who led the team's fundraising efforts in part to support her daughter living with sickle cell disease. The SCDAA Walk-a-thon was the focal fundraising event for RTH Soluitions' Social Responsibility Program, RTH GB: Responsible To Help and Give Back.

About the Walk with the Stars Event
The 2nd Annual National Walk with the Stars took place Saturday August 29, 2015 at the SCDAA Headquarters in Halethorpe, MD. This year, the walk/run will generate an even larger audience with a new venue at Druid Hill Park in Baltimore, MD. Participants have the option to choose from 1 mile & 2 mile walk courses and a 5K run course. After the walk participants are invited to attend a fun-filled afternoon of music, entertainment, food trucks, vendors, games and prizes. Proceeds from the event will benefit research, treatment, support services and programs for members of the sickle cell community nationwide. Individuals not located in the Maryland area may choose to participate virtually, or at a local walk held by an SCDAA chapter.
